Missio Amare Migranti
As part of our continued commitment to highlight the work with the poor mission of Couples for Christ (CFC), Missio Amare MIGRANTI held its regular monthly meeting on June 20,2025 at the CFC Global Mission Center. The gathering coincided meaningfully with the 44th anniversary celebration of CFC, underscoring our shared dedication to serving those in need. The hybrid gathering brought together 21 coordinators onsite and 10 others online, primarily joining in from the provinces, highlighting the movement’s growing geographical reach and unity of purpose.
A central topic of discussion was the successful conclusion of the Ten Outstanding Sons and Daughters of OFWs Student Awards (TOSDOSA), where Migranti played a key role as a major sponsor. Brother Edwin Pastorfide, East A Sector Migranti Coordinator, presented a detailed report on the active involvement of the Diocese of Antipolo in this CBCP-ECMI initiative (for more details see Church honors outstanding OFW children | CBCPNews), underscoring the value of the Sons & Daughters of OFWs Formation Program (SDOFP). With implementation anchored through the Parish Migrants Desks across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in partnership with diocesan schools, the program continues to strengthen its impact on the youth of migrant families.
The meeting also marked a significant digital milestone with the soft launch of Missio Amare MIGRANTI’s official website. Spearheaded by Brother Ramon Pagdagdagan, a member of the National Core Team, the walkthrough spotlighted the platform’s accessibility and its potential to draw in new sponsors and supporters. Brother Noli Manuel, Executive Director of Missio Amare, emphasized the moment’s importance, stating, “This is a first for Missio Amare.”
A meaningful milestone was marked through a simple yet symbolic handover ceremony, as Brothers Didi Escudero, Member of Migranti’s National Core and Tony Obien, National Program Head of Missio Amare Migranti, formally presented a Certificate of Accreditation from Barangay Saray, Iligan City to Brother Noli Manuel. During the gathering, Brother Jerry Castro, Migranti Coordinator for Visayas Region, also shared progress on securing city-level accreditation in Cebu, an initiative that, once achieved, would officially establish Missio Amare as the recognized social development partner across all 80 barangays of the city.
Area updates were also given by Bro Eugene Galvo of Metro Manila, Bro Boyet de Guia of Laguna, Bro Tom Prado of the National Core Team and Davao’s Bro Boy Narca.
The meeting concluded on a high note with a group photo, as all members proudly wore their new Missio Amare jackets, each one a reflection of commitment and unity, made possible through a ₱750 donation from every coordinator. Brother Noli remarked, “More than a uniform, it’s a banner of unity. When we wear this, we wear our shared commitment to serve.”
The spirit of celebration and service echoed throughout the event, a fitting tribute to 44 years of CFC and a testament to the ever-deepening mission of Missio Amare MIGRANTI
