August 30,2025 Valencia Bukidnon-  The MA MIGRANTI Team led by National Program Head Bro Tony Obien flew to Mindanao last August to conduct a facilitators’ training anchored on the Migrants Life Program (MLP), a new platform inspired by Singapore’s ABBA (Abundant and Better Life Abroad) framework, developed by Sr. Ma. Ermilda (Mel) Benedictos, RC and Sis. Paulette Lirio, HOLD Singapore.

The team welcomed 55 participants from across Mindanao: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Davao City, Lanao del Norte, Surigao del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur and Bukidnon. Each one brought with them stories of courage, hope, and a deep desire to uplift migrant families in their communities.

Open photoVency Rodas, Bukidnon Provincial Area Director, shared: “I used to think that once a Filipino works abroad, they’re already in a good place. I never imagined the depth of problems OFWs face the moment they leave their families. This training opened our eyes. Only with clear understanding can we offer real solutions.”

The training went beyond technical modules, as participants were led to explore how NGOs can collaborate meaningfully with the Church through CBCP ECMI and with the government through OWWA. Through case discussions and real-life testimonies, the training team listened, learned, and offered guidance. The session was concluded through a commitment prayer led by Mon Pagdagdagan followed by participants giving their pledge by signing their names on the commitment wall. It was a long day, physically demanding but spiritually enriching.

The day ended with a quiet visit to Lake Apo, followed by a shared dinner—a moment of fellowship that reminded us of the grace that sustains this mission.

God is good, always providing the strength and resources to serve with love.
