The Model OFW Family of the Year Awards (MOFYA) is an annual event held by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The selection for two model OFW families – one each for the land-based and sea-based categories — begins at the regional level, where OWWA selects from among short-listed nominees. The regional winners then compete for the national awards.

MOFYA honors outstanding OFW families who, despite the challenges of separation, have shown resilience and determination to succeed as a family — keeping their relationship and family values strong, and even shining in their respective communities with their civic activities and achievements.

Last July 31, 2025, the OWWA National Capital Region Office held the MOFYA for OFW families based in the NCR. There were four nominees in the land-based categories, while there five fin the sea-based category. MA MIGRANTI Core Members Manny and Villa Lector were among those nominated in the land-based category for this year’s Awards.
